  • Absolutely. We can provide you with a cabin shell that you can assemble and finish on your own. A cabin shell consists of the cabin’s four walls and trusses only.

  • Absolutely! We can load up, come to you, and assemble your cabin or timber frame on your property for an additional charge.

  • As a 100% American Small business, all of our cabins are built by hand in Winchester, Ohio, by our owner, Evan Young, with the help of a small crew of craftsmen and equipment operators.

  • That’s a great question. While there are lots of variables to consider when pricing a custom project, if you are interested in a DIY cabin shell, roofing system, or standard-size pavilion, we have a complete list of prices on our pricing page.   • While many “cabins” out there may have a similar look to an Oak Creek Cabin, very few will be built with the same methods or quality standards. Cheaply-built cabins will be skinned with logs or stacked with weak joinery. We make dovetail cabins from 8” X 12” timber that actually gets stronger with age. This is the same construction you will find in cabins built 200+ years ago that are still standing today. A time-tested method that very few people still know how to use.

  • This is a time-tested method of preserving wood. Charring (or burning) the wood provides the ultimate natural barrier against weather, insects, and rot. We often burn our interior trusses for contrast, but can char an entire cabin if you like the look.

  • All of our lumber is locally and responsibly sourced right here in Ohio. No old-growth wood is used in any of our cabins. Only responsibly harvested timber. We also have our own saw mill that we use to incorporate fallen trees.
